Buying Guide
Start with the operating type, then compare the actual model.
Inverter and non-inverter describe how the compressor operates. This is one product specification to compare alongside capacity, energy information, noise, heating and cooling modes, warranty and other model-specific details.
Inverter operation
An inverter system can vary compressor output as the room moves toward the selected temperature instead of relying only on a simple full-on or full-off cycle.
Non-inverter operation
A non-inverter system generally cycles the compressor on and off to maintain the selected temperature. The exact performance and specifications still depend on the individual model.
